Dr. Camia A. Lasig Appointed as New Head Librarian of ULIS

Dr. Camia A. Lasig was appointed as Head Librarian in January 2025, bringing with her over 21 years of dedicated service as a college librarian. Known
for her commitment, innovation, and collaborative spirit, Dr. Lasig is poised to lead the University Library toward a more modern, inclusive, and forward-thinking future.

Welcoming Charlene Francisco to the ULIS Library Team

The University Library welcomes Ms. Charlene Larrise Francisco as its newest IT staff member. With expertise in website development and graphic design, she is set to play a key role in enhancing the library’s digital platforms and current awareness services. Her technical skills are expected to significantly contribute to the library’s ongoing efforts to modernize and better serve the CLSU community.

Area 7: Library Technical Working Group stands ready during the institutional accreditation.

During the Institutional Accreditation from June 30 to July 3, 2025, the Area 7: Library Technical Working Group warmly welcomed their accreditor, Dr. Benhur Asid. The team embraced the opportunity to engage with Dr. Asid and gain valuable insights from his expertise. This experience proved to be an enriching moment for the group as they continue to strive for excellence in library services and support CLSU’s commitment to quality education.

Librarians from Reader’s Services welcomed first-year students at the University Auditorium on July 8-9, 2025, as part of the SIKAD orientation program. During the sessions, students were introduced to the library’s services and collections that can support their academic journey. The library also gave out bookmarks as a small gift to the students.
